Storybook Favorites

After browsing through several storybooks and learning more about storybooks and what they consist of, there are three that really caught my eye.

The first one that caught my eye is called Ghost stories of OU. This storybook caught my attention because it was about OU and the ghost stories that are affiliated with some of the buildings on the campus. I have heard about some of these stories before but did not know all of the details. The introduction did a very good job of providing background information on the stories as well as made me want to continue to browse the website. Overall, I thought the design was really good. It was a simple design with tabs at the top which made it easy to navigate.

Another storybook that I found very interesting is A Dog's Afterlife. In this storybook a dog named Rufus enters the underworld and learns many things about himself and lessons from other dogs. I liked this story because it was more make believe than the ghost stories at OU. Also I really love dogs and have three dogs of my own. I feel like when you are reading about something that you love or have a passion for it is easier to get into. The introduction was good and made me want to keep reading. I was not crazy about the design of this story book because it used fancy text and was kind of hard to navigate.

The third storybook that caught my eye is called Tales of an Athlete. This story book was interesting to be because I am on the cheerleading team at the University of Oklahoma and spend a lot of my time practicing and cheering at sporting events. The introduction was very detailed which I enjoyed because I knew exactly what the storybook would cover. I thought the layout was okay but could have been easier to navigate.
